When do you first recall feeling a passion for social change?
I believe on some level I have always felt a strong connection to walking beside others. As a young person without finance or power, I offered those in need what I did have, my time. This is still a huge part of how I personally strive for social change in the community. From managing one of the youth theatres for many years to twelve months working in alongside those in need in Cambodia.
What has led you to your role at Fresh?
I was barely eighteen when Shaz asked me to assist her in founding Fresh. In many ways my passion for social change he been shaped by the relationships I have encountered over the past thirteen years and encountering social change first hand in the programs we developed.
What do you find most fulfilling about working at Fresh?
There have been many times when I have had to consider moving on from the Fresh community as my career or life plan required. However, each time I have found moving on impossible. The Fresh environment becomes another home, a place where you are always welcomed and embraced, no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. It is this that I find most fulfilling about working at Fresh, in both receiving and offering this environment to others.
